 Hundreds of people don’t know how to manage being in SocMed or Social Media and in Internet so that means they are very prone of misbehavior issues in Data Highway (Internet). They all needed the proper guidance and as well as the right amount of knowledge about something that is so dangerous if you’ll misuse it.

Different Online Scams

·         Phishing Scam

This kind of scam is very common, especially in messaging websites such as Gmail and etc. Phishing scammers will message you out of the blue and act so naturally and suck some information from you that you won’t even notice that. Usually credit card pins and sensitive details about you, then they’ll use that to make money from you. Beware of this scam.

 

·         Shopping Scam

This kind of scam has 2 sides that means the buyer and seller can be the scammer. When the buyer is the scammer, he/she will order a bunch of the item being sold, then he/she won’t pay for it. But if the seller is the scammer, he/she will sell something fake with a very high price. Beware of this scam.

 

·         Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency

Scammers will tell you to send them money or the bitcoin because you have this amount of debt to someone then they’ll collect that money and you will never retrieve that at all.

 

·         Digital Kidnapping

The scammer will steal a picture of a random kid (usually a rich kid) then upload it to some social media website and he/she will pretend that he/she is the guardian/mother/parent of the child. He/she will ask for help from some people and will receive it with a few private particulars of that kid. Some kids that become a victim of this scam can’t qualify to college due to the incident. Beware of this scam, dear parents.

 

·         Bad Download/Fake Antivirus Software

App developers usually become scammers due to this, the application they made was full of very delicate malware that can’t be removed just by using some anti-viruses. Speaking of antivirus, sometimes app makers manage to develop Antivirus Software to bait users. That software will only contribute to the viruses inside your device instead of fighting it. Beware of this scam.

 

·         Fake Charities

It’s so obvious, the scammer will create a website then some rich gullible people will think that the site is legitimate so they’ll probably donate to it and alarm some other rich people. It’ll result in a rich scammer, right? Beware of this scam.

 

 

·         Dating and Romance Scam

People nowadays are so obsessed with love, so even in the extensive electronic network, they are finding love resulting in being fooled. This scam is so usual because of some dating apps, when you download it your device will be a malware den. They’ll promise you to meet some random people and pay this amount, but in the end, you won’t receive love.

 

Please know that Cyberspace is like an endless well, if you feel there’s no way to escape, so be careful in clicking your screen and keyboard. One-click can ruin you, that’s how dangerous it can be. There’s always something good, but will cause you many bad things. Don’t abuse the Internet. Say no to Cybercrimes. Sue Cybercriminals. Beware of scams.

        Did you know that our life is a canvas? Our experiences are pigmented paints with vibrant colors. If the experience is cheery, the color is bright. If the experience is gloomy or anything opposite of the first one, the color is darker. Last March 2020, an unremovable stain popped up on my canvas.
